Whats my processor?

Windows PC
If your laptop still switches on, simply boot it up and wait till it finishes loading up and follow the following steps:

  1. Click on the Start Button on the bottom left hand side of your screen
  2. Search for the word 'System Information'
  3. This should come up with 'System Information' icon; click on this.
  4. A new window should pop up, with a long list of information. Check around the 10th line to find the processor type/name.

Apple Mac
Click on the 'Apple' icon in the top left hand side and then select 'About This Mac'. This will then pop up with a new screen displaying your processor properties. For more help, please check here.

How old is my laptop?

Laptop Age
A rough idea on how old your device is from brand new. This section is used to estimate the generation of the chosen processor. Please select the appropriate generation from the drop down list.

For Apple Mac devices, the release dates on the model should be used to fill this criteria. Click on the 'Apple' icon in the top left hand side and then select 'About This Mac'. This will then pop up with a new screen dispaying your model and release year e.g "Macbook Retina Late 2013".

Laptop Condition

If your laptop is in good condition i.e Grade B ( 7/10 Condition) and above then please select Yes.

If you have heavy marks on your device and or any other problems such as minor cracks, dents or heavy marks please select 'Poor Condition' in the faults list

For computers that don't start up due to errors please select "Startup Error"

For laptops with heavy casing damage such as dislodged hinges and shattered cases then the 'Casing Damage' fault will need to be selected.
Please note if your device has a touchscreen and has a broken screen, it will be subject to a Casing Damage fault.
